            You've heard this adage repeatedly throughout your life from the time you were small.  Why?  Because it's true - and never more than where bed bugs are concerned!  Bed Bugs take an average of one month (depending upon temperature and food supply) to transition from egg to fully-reproducing adult.  Females can lay as many as 5 to 12 eggs per day throughout their lives, or at least 500 eggs during their lifetime.  Remember, however, there will many females in any infestation!  That means thousands of eggs, with numers increasing daily.

              The initial inspection, in the absence of bites or other signs of infestation, confirms that your premises are clear (or sometimes not.)  If you believe your risk of infestation is minimal, a one-time inspection, or a single inspection when you have a concern, can be sufficient.

 

               For those at higher risk, such as the hospitality industry, property-management, a regular, quarterly schedule of maintenance inspections is designed to detect new infestations while still small and readily treated.

         When signs of infestation are found and/or bites experienced, it is an urgent situation.  Remember, one adult female alone can lay at least 500 eggs during her lifetime, and she's never alone.  Any delay can turn what could still be a small infestation into something quickly out of control.

         We're here to help!  We make every effort to schedule Reactive Inspections as quickly as possible, often the same day or within 24 hours.  Clients on a regular maintenance contract take precedence, but we will do everything possible to ensure prompt service to everyone!

POST-TREATMENT:

            Bed bug remediation is both costly and difficult, and, in the case of chemical treatments, requires multiple applications.  Whether heat or chemical treatments, it's important to be certain eradication is complete.  Even one or two live bugs or eggs remaining will reproduce, creating the problem all over again.

             Our post-treatment inspections are designed to ensure your environment is bed bug-free, and should be considered an integral part of any remediation program.
