PUPPY P.I. is an Independent Bed Bug Scent Detection Dog firm, the first and only such firm in all of Upstate New York.  Our highly trained dogs received the same training as Narcotics, Explosives, and Accelerant (arson) Dogs - from the trainers who train them! - and are maintained at peak performance by continuous daily training.  Our teams were trained by the best in the country, and are certified by the top national certification organizations whose logos appear on the bottom of our Home Page.  Ask us about them.  We're always happy to talk about our dogs!

PUPPY P.I. is not directly affiliated with any pest control professional, nor do we provide remediation services.  Our profits do not increase if your premises are positive for bed bugs.  While there are many reputable pest control professionals, including some who utilize dogs, we believe this separation of services is in your best interest as a consumer.

Minimize Intrusion:

 

          Canine Teams can accomplish in a few minutes what would take pest control technicians several hours, and with far greater accuracy.  Generally, a dog can clear a hotel room in five to seven minutes that requires twenty to thirty minutes for "complete" visual inspection by a person.  That means an apartment or home can undergo a thorough inspection by a canine in a fraction of the time - minutes, not hours - that it would require for human visual inspection! 

 

          Canine Teams work without the need to take apart or otherwise disturb the belongings of the occupant.  Pest control technicians must do so in order to visually check all portions of the premises.

 

Minimize Exposure:

 

          Targeted remediation means less exposure to toxic chemicals.  This is important to everyone, but particularly for those whose immune systems are most likely to be affected by these chemicals, which are generally applied in combination, for up to three treatments, usually two weeks apart.  Canine scent detection protects children, the elderly, those with allergies (particularly respiratory, such as asthma or emphysema), or immunocompromised individuals with acute or chronic illness or nutritional deficits.

 

Minimize Expense:

 

          Significantly reduce cost by targeting the infestation.  Since direct contact is required for chemical treatments, Canine scent detection will narrow the areas and/or number of units requiring treatment.  Where heat treatment is used, scent detection will allow treatment of specific areas rather than an entire building.

 

Minimize Risk:

         Post-treatment inspections:  Verify whether your premises are now bed bug free.  Just one live bed bug remaining after a treatment can produce 5-12 eggs eggs per day.  An adult female can easily lay 500 eggs during her lifetime.  Can you really afford to guess?  Be absolutely sure you are completely bed bug free after treatment is completed!
